Alec Moyer

Alec and his wife Rosie spent much of their childhoods in Lafayette and have a deep connection to the area. He has a Bachelor's Degree in political science from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a Master's of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has nearly completed a Master's of Divinity (M.Div) through Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. After graduating from West Point, Alec served in the military for 6 years. During his military service, Alec and Rosie lived in Germany and started their family. After the Army, Alec began work on his M.Div. They moved back to Lafayette in 2016 in order to be a part of Parish Church as it was beginning while Alec continued his studies. Since then, they have been active members of Parish Church along with their children, Mary-Ann ('11), Magruder ('14), Hays ('16), and John ('20). Rosie has served as the Children’s Ministry Director and enjoys baking organic bread. Alec has worked in healthcare administration while also serving as a ruling elder. They have grown in their roles as the church has grown so much so that Alec was called to a full time pastoral role at the church in January of 2022.
